1. “Paradise Lost”

“Did I solicit thee from darkness to promote me?”

The first installment (in chronological order) of my new print series- “Empathy and the Evolution of Heartbreak.”

A little background-
This series is several years in the making! I revisited old journals and sketches to create an authentic journey of emotions, from pain and trauma to healing and self acceptance, using simple lines drawings. You may recognize some of the designs!

My main influence was one of my favorite periods- the Greek Hellenistic period, before the rise of the Roman Empire. Their sculptures are extremely expressive, usually portraying one powerful emotion.

The first image depicts a woman vulnerable and alone. What do you see?
